Your first visit to The Port Dental Clinic is all about getting to know you — your dental history, your concerns, and your goals for your oral health. Here's what a typical first appointment looks like:
Arrive 15 minutes early to complete a brief medical/dental history form. Our friendly reception team will make you feel right at home.
Your dentist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, jaw, and oral tissues. We'll take digital X-rays as needed to get a complete picture.
Your hygienist will perform a gentle professional cleaning to remove plaque, tartar, and surface stains.
We'll discuss our findings with you, explain any recommendations, answer your questions, and build a personalized treatment plan — no pressure, no rush.
Photo ID — A valid government-issued identification (driver's licence, passport, etc.)
Insurance Card — Your dental insurance card or benefits information for direct billing
CDCP Letter — If you're enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan, bring your confirmation letter
Medical History — A list of current medications, allergies, and any relevant medical conditions
Previous Records — X-rays or records from your previous dentist, if available
Mon–Fri 9 AM – 7 PM and weekends 9 AM – 4 PM. We fit your schedule, not the other way around.
We accept the CDCP and bill most insurance providers directly, so you pay less out of pocket.
We speak English, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and Gujarati — so everyone feels comfortable.
